Harley Benton “Les Paul” KIT from Thomann

I have a couple of guitars at home that I bought through the years, yet from time to time I order a KIT to build.

It allows me to learn wood working, craftmanship and deepens my love for the instrument. I just LOVE electric guitars.

I dont pretend to be a great player, nor to be a master luthier, it’s just a hobby for me, but it takes a big part of my life.

So, long story short…I always wanted a Les Paul model. And I always wondered if a KIT would sound as great as a Gibson LP.

So far I couldn’t say, but that thing has A LOT of sustain and a massive sound ! I did not even upgraded it.

As a kit to build, it looks like this. I bought the one from Thomann.de .

For this model, I did not want to spend too much time on the paint job, especially since I had to paint the body BEFORE trying the guitar itself, for technical reasons.

So I stuck my name on the headstock, and added a Captain Future Logo on it.

Usually, guitar kits have a lame 3 piece body, but in this case, not only they sent me a one-parter, but the wood grain looked really nice. So I ended up painting it with Lin Oil.

Upgrades

As for the potential upgrades, I already received these knobs. that matches the logo.
